If you want order complete silence with your big Mac and still get the benefit of the latest Apple technology (OSX+iLife+iTunes etc) there is one way of doing this: upgrade the late lamented fanless Cube. For example you can run a 1.2 Giga Designs upgrade model # GCC5A-1000-S2 (no fan) + the nVidia GeForce 2MX (32MB) aka NVidia, NV-11 Video Card (no fan) for Quartz Extreme + a silent HD like one of the fast, fanless and silent Seagate Barracuda drives.
