Re: airport express

Thanks everyone for the suggestions - I'm having mixed success setting 
up the airport express.  My LAN is a bit complex - BB cable into an ntl 
ethernet modem which feeds a 4-port linksys router - the router links 
to an ethernet printer, an old mac, an airport extreme (set up as a 
wireless switch) and a netgear 4 port hub.  The hub links to a couple 
of other old macs around the building.  On the spare WAN of the Airport 
extreme I've hooked up another mac, and I generally connect a Powerbook 
400 to the airport using its internal 811b  card.  All the 
macs/printers are networked via appletalk and can connect to the 
internet.

I can either get a good signal connecting my powerbook to the airport 
express set up as a separate base station - but then can't link up to 
the airport extreme, internet, LAN etc.  Alternatively, I can set it up 
to connect to the existing network, but then suffer from dropout and 
cannot use the ethernet port on the express to 'see' the rest of the 
network (for yet another computer), as I had hoped.

There are so many options in the admin utility, I'm sure it is possible 
to do what I want to do, but it isn't easy!  In particular, knowing 
which MAC addresses to use and DHCP options is a bit of a nightmare.
