Okay, long story short - I applied to work in the store, got through to 
stage 2 but decided to pull out because I changed my mind about moving 
to London.

BUT what I learnt was that the staff are having one month's training 
before the store officially opens. I can't remember if the training was 
in September or October but I think it was the latter. That would make 
the likely opening date at the start of November, or start of October at 
the earliest.
