Indeed. I have one the first 12" Powerbooks - 867 Mhz G4 - and I've been telling myself that there's no point in upgrading until you can go to twice the speed. The 15" PowerBook, while wonderful in other regards, hasn't quite reached that and is pretty expensive at the higher speed. But this 1.8 GHz iMac is right on the button....

Nothing on prices, as the Apple Store is closed 'for an hour'. But US prices start at $1299 for the 17", 80Gb, 1.6GHz machine.
Prices start at 919 according to the blurb, but the uk store is still down.
I'm sooooo tempted :-)
It even has the power brick in it, so with wireless networking and bluetooth keyboard and mouse, the only cable is the power lead! >> Nice!
The prices are up now - 919 for the 17" 1.6 GHz; 1049 for the 17" 1.8 GHz; and 1349 for the 20" 1.8 GHz. The middle one looks the 'best buy'; faster CPU, faster front-side bus, and also includes the superdrive instead of just a combo drive.
