Hi, any chance anyone on the list knows anything about the Formac TVR -
thats the firewire device allowing you to watch TV on your mac. I am
looking to buy one on ebay or from the manufacturers in the US (the UK
formac dealer charges almost twice the price!). But all the US versions are
NTSC. Does anyone know if they can be covered to PAL format, or if I would
have to buy a PAL version?
Thanks in advance. Chris

There's a similar product called eyetv by Elgato systems - ranges
through usb to firewire and there's one on the UK ebay at the moment so I
would imagine it has the ability to convert the signal to whatever is
suitable. I have a scan converter which takes the composite or s-video
signal and converts it to vga compatible and that has a range of PAL and
NTSC formats available - even secam.
