In coming weeks I intend to ditch dial-up and go to broadband; I'm also intending to go wireless as well. Sadly I am a complete ignoramus with regards to networks, and any answers to some of these questions, as well as other top tips, would be warmly welcomed.
Several people responded with comments and advice. Many thanks to everybody. I now have an order for ADSL in place (Pipex, since you ask) and a wireless router on the way from Amazon.
