Bluetooth is very restrictive on distance. In the old building I work in it manages to just stagger 5 or 6 metres.

it depends where your receiver is. my girlfriend was a manager for tescos and their stores would have several bluetooth receivers across the store. as long as you are paired then it doesnt matter what point as the network knows what device you are (bluetooth devices have individual id's) and where you are.


it could also be that those devices were running on wifi. either technology is wireless so we are both right.
