Umm - I was just about to say that I've just bought 512 Mb from Crucial - DDR 2100, low-profile I think - for an IBM Thinkpad R40e. Ordered yesterday afternoon, delivered this morning, and just 50 plus VAT.

I would suggest that unless you can find a local source where you can pick it up, just order from Crucial and wait....

Serves me right for deleting email threads regarding RAM dealers....I've
just discovered that Crucial don't have the memory for my work machine
(Toshiba laptop) in stock (it looks like standard DDR 2700 low-profile,
so it must be in great demand as a stocking filler).

So...where does everyone get their memory upgrades from, other than Crucial?

Oh...I'm also thinking about getting a processor and video upgrade for my
B&W...to those people who have gone to the effort of doing this, where
have you got them from? The large Mac "warehouse" places don't seem to
deal with these much.

Thanks in advance,
