I've been using a Belkin wifi router for a mixed network including an iMac and
several pc's, also had my old 9500 running on the hardwire with no ill effects.
In the past I've also setup similar with a Linksys router which provided
efficient service. If your cable modem device offers an RJ45 connection then
either brands would suit.
