Hmmm well they do have some points!
I am a DIE hard Apple fan, I have an Apple tattoo and own more than 50 Mac's at home. I am also an IT manager and have delployed mostly Mac's at work.
Now.... when I call Apple or Dell for end user support I have to say Apple wins! They are very good at end user support for normal end user machines BUT, when I call Apple or Dell for SERVER support I have to admit Dell winst EVERY time. It is not that the Apple guys dont try or are unwilling. They just dont seem to have an in depth technical background in server setups.
Also when it comes to cost. A Dell rackmounted server sets me back 700 ukp but a x-serve will set me back twice that. I bought the x-serve anyways because it looks so damn nice but that is not a valid reason.
Oh and before I get shot, the 2 Dell Servers I have run Linux, no MS tripe here.
