Long been rumoured that the next cut off of old machines would be an X
version that was DVD only.

Been 5 years since there was a non-DVD Powerbook and although it isn't my
field I'd guess about 3 years for a desktop.

The entry level machines might be a bit more recent, maybe 2 years for an
iMac/eMac/iBook ?

I must admit, I thought it might be G4/G5 only.
