I am looking for any tips regarding tightening of the hinges on my 2004 powerbook (1Ghz/Al).
I have had a creaky back hinge for a while and have recently used an Radtech AlGlide enhancement kit to service it. Thats basically a lube job on the hinges.
what appears to be loose is the join between the screen and the hinge so i assume that i will need some gentle unscrewing of the case to tighten up the hidden screws on the screen.
anyone have any tech notes relating to the opening of the housing? i did have an apple maintenance guide for pb's but i think it only went up the ti books which have different hinges.
your thoughts would be much appreciated.
