I'm only seeing 10.4 or later as a requirement on the page linked to.

It's most likely the first thing everyone will do after updating to Tiger is update Tiger although those updates have not been posted to SW update . . . . yet
I suppose we are close enough to let slip that T is faster than P even as an upgrade install on both G4 and G5 systems.
