I am considering buying a Mac Mini later this year, especially on the basis that Tiger is here and my pro work machine (a B&W G4/500) is about to stop being current as 10.4 is unlikely to run really well on it.
Basically I do have an iMac G4/800 which is and will remain a good machine, but a Mac Mini, probably with a 160GB external drive for company, would probably make a much better job of my pro work than my existing, and ailing, G4/500. I know the graphics chip built into the Mac Mini is not capable of running CoreGraphics (or not last I heard anyway) but given that many recent Macs don't seem to be able to I'm not imagining this is a major problem. What I want to know is is it a joy to use, as one would hope, on a Mac Mini or are there pitfalls? -- Mark Benson http://homepage.mac.com/markbenson -- Mac UK is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Mac UK list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/mac-uk.shtml> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[email protected]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-uk%40mail.maclaunch.com/> iPod Accessories for Less at 1-800-iPOD.COM Fast Delivery, Low Price, Good Deal www.1800ipod.com
