Thanks all!
It definitely works fine with our old modem, all iChatAV clients on the network can happily use voice and video without a problem (until the line randomly drops due to wonky modem). With the new modem we can use iChat for normal messaging, but it seems to be blocking absolutely everything to do with audio or video chat.
I'll have to try Skype later and see if that's still working, although I think it uses a different set of ports.

Hi Aaron
I have a DSL-504T Router but no iChatting experience at all.
If you wanted me to do something simple for the sake of testing I am willing
to give it a try.
I can log in with iChat - does that mean it is working?
Cant say its my medium so I never use it but recently tried an sms
application that was supposed to piggy back on ichat/aol. Didn't work for me
so I got smsMac. But maybe that's why the sms didn't work - if the iChat
part isnt working.
all the best
Brian

Has anyone else got one of these modems ?
Yes
and have you managed to get it working with iChatAV properly ?
Sometimes. It did work, and now it doesn't, and i'm not sure why. I don't think its anything to do with the modem as much as what has been set, something easily overlooked maybe? I'll have a fiddle with mine and see what comes up. :)

I also have one and recently iChat AV Stopped working. I think it's aport forwarding issue but I'm not sure which ports. Funny thing is it worked absolutely A1 until about a month ago then it stopped working and I haven't even changed routers (I installed my DSL-504T last august and it hasn't been factory reset or anything since I then). Video works fine in MSN Messenger in Windows so it's AIM specific. Dan and I talk regularly so i guess we might be able to have a brain storm and solve it between us one evening. I'll let you know if we find anything...
