I had a particularly hilarious encounter with a PC World manager while inquiring about the availability of a 12" Powerbook. I was told that those were very difficult to get hold of (the Apple store was shipping them in 24 hours) and that the shop-soiled 15" model they had was the only one available. I asked for a discount as it was scuffed, covered in labels, had no orginal packaging or manuals or CDs, the OS had been played with, had almost no remaining warranty and was the previous spec and OS - according to them Tiger wasn't available (it had been out for a month). The best discount they could offer? 80 pounds. I laughed as I walked away. However I value the experience for reminding me that you should never buy from PC World if you can wait for you item to arrive from elsewhere.
