Does anyone have any more info about the location within MeadowHell,
and the opening date, of this new Applestore? I've checked the more
obvious information sites (ie, the ones I know about...) but there are
no clues there.
As regards date, Apple are just saying 'later this year' on the Apple
UK website. For location, there are a few units available at the moment
(and there's generally one or two empty) but my assumption is that it
will be in the former Alders/ even-more-former C&A unit, up at one end
between Smiths & Boots. These end units are seen as the prime sites
within Meadowhall, and to be fair it has a number of advantages: a)
it's a good size; b) it has a direct link to the outside, ie you don't
have to go through mall to get to it; and c) the occupants of this unit
have traditionally been able to put their logo on the outside of the
mall.
