Yeah...me too :-) To be honest, I didn't have much choice. A couple of things have come up recently that were going to require a faster machine than my G3s so the plan was to hang on for the rev. 2 mini. But I rely heavily on email and my PowerMail database was starting to make the G3 iBook struggle. iCal and NoteBook have started suffering too. And then last week I started to get spammed like crazy and sent viruses by the dozen. It might have had something to do with my company domain finally getting indexed by Google and showing up on search pages around the same time. The mail filters I'd set up over the last 18 months worked well, but between them and the database size the processor and disk really had to work. The net effect was to reduce the iBook to a crawl, so I put the order in before it started happening again. It really was painful to watch the poor machine taking up to 10 seconds to handle each incoming email (not including attachments)! The 2.5" drive on the mini isn't going to be much better at handling things than the iBook, but the processor, etc. should make a difference.
