fwiw I recommend freedom2surf.
Have a look at what they have to offer.
Theres a lot of good information on their site and when I -or any of those I
know who use them - have dealt with them they have been real people and not
'trained idiots' who pass the buck or just pass.
If you refer me as a recomender I would get a tenner.
However you can also recommend anyone else you know who is with F2s and give
them a tenner. get the wires only deal and buy an ADSLrouter modem from
somewhere such as savastore or wherever you source your kit. Wireless G if
you are ever likely to have a portable Mac.
starts at a 2mb connection from £15 p m. Lots of other packages with
different levels of cap. I have exceeded my cap (£20 p m at 10gb) but they
didn't charge me.
I have had a couple of very small outages over about a year and I think that
at least one of these was in fact the router getting stuck and needing
resetting.

(I just checked their site and it looks like 8mb starts at £15 p m.).
check it for yourself and ask if anything doesn't make sense.

all the best
