Apple's newer laptops support gestures for all the functions the scroll ball on the Mighty Mouse thus the addition of a scroll device is not required. Adding a second button, or even neater using the same touche sense technology as the MM and staying with the look of one button, would be no problem I don't think. The Mac mini is a non-issue - it doesn't come with a mouse ergo you can do what you like, and most Apple Stores are going to recommend a Mighty Mouse. It would be nice to see it in the box with the PowerMac and iMac though, along with full OS 10.4 integrated support out of the box.
