I want to use the ethernet connection on an airport express to connect to an older non-wireless enabled 7300, as well as a wireless Pizmo. The express is presently set up as a wireless client for an airport extreme located elsewhere in my home which acts as a router. Unfortunately it seems that the ethernet link on the express is disabled when this configuration is in place - Does anyone have an of how the desired arrangement can be set up?
I'm not 100% on this, but I'm pretty sure the ethernet port on the Express can only be used for internet sharing. The Extreme allows the ethernet port to be used as a "real" port, and I think this is one of the reasons the Extreme is more expensive.
