Mark, Just found the power supply for my Apple Design Powered Speakers II. Output is 12V DC (It says 750mA but you don't need to stick to this.) The centre pin is +ve.
I haven't been using my speakers because they sound quite dull, but they do come with very long cables and have a clever tilt adjustment, which is also great for winding excess cables.
