For secondhand I wouldn't advise anything older than a Pismo (the last 
of the black Powerbooks, with built-in Firewire). Other than that make 
sure you have enough RAM, 384MB as the absolute minimum. Any of the 
white iBooks will run OS X OK. The first generation of Airport cards 
(which you'll need for any but the newer iBooks as they - and the 12" 
PBs - don't have PC Card slots) can be very hard to find so make sure 
one is included where appropriate.
