hi all
i've been given a g3/400 imac to upgrade for a friend of mine which is currently on 9.2.2 and has its *tiny* 10 Gb drive brimming to the top.

last week the building where the imac normally lives experienced a power surge which tripped the main fusebox. the imac was plugged in at the time and turned itself off and rebooted.

after the reboot it came up with flashing system folder and questionmark icon. this is normally straight forward to fix and involves booting off a CD and reblessing the system folder.

problem is that the apple pro keyboard doesnt respond. The keyboard works fine on another mac but doesn't do owt on this imac. no capslock light or anything. the optical mouse shines red so usb is getting / giving power.

anyone got any tips or seen this before. is this a fuse thing or a imac rip?

many thanks
mikek
