Sorry if this is frowned upon but I shall make it quick.
I have much loved but tired G3 Power Book 300 (2.2) with 14.1 screen which needs to be kept and given a bit of TLC....... or it needs to be sold. It has 128 RAM, 2 x batteries, 1 x CD ROM and 1 x Zip drive. There is also a SCSI cable adapter and a few other bits and bobs. I think there is a case somewhere as well. It has no sound and the is a bright bloom on the screen. The sound I think may be a dislodged card or damaged card, I have not been in to have a look. The mains charger is a bit suspect and probably should be changed also. It is in daily use on the network running Jaguar and it boasts the best keyboard for typing in the building. I thought I would offer it here first. Will be interested in offers of much needed cash or a used but fully functional k750i (unlocked or o2) in ex.
There is also a rather novel Apple Power CD (black "portable" with battery stand etc etc) to go with it, in its original box with manual etc but I was kinda thinking I might hold on to it as a bit of a rarity...... It can be hitched up to the telly or, as I used to do, wire it up to matching black powered speakers and use it as a music player. There is a remote control too.
While I am in a clearing desk frame of mind, is there anyone who recycles RAM from older machines? I have a few bits and bobs knocking around with no obvious ID but I am fairly sure they came from an 8200 or that sort of vintage. Seems a shame to bin them.
