I thought it would be cool to add a favicon to my page. So I started
investigating it and how it works. In case you don't know, the
favicon.ico is the little icon that appears next to the address bar and
in the bookmarks menu for a web page. IE 5+ and Netscape 7+ recognize
it. It may go back further, but I'm not sure, and that does not really
matter.

Well, I understand how it works now and how to add it, but I have one
problem. I can not figure out how to make an icon file that is .ico. I
have tried a couple of icon creators, and saved files as .ico, but they
don't seem to work. My guess is that they are not saving it in the
correct format. Does anyone know of Mac software that will save the file
in the correct .ico format to be recognized.

Thanks in advance :)
Tim
