Our school web server is on AppleShare IP 6.3.3/9.1 on a G4/500 and we use FirstClass as our SMTP/POP3 for Intranet Messaging Server.. We are trying to post online forms that will use CGI scripts to process the information and store it into a database or mail the same to the office.
Thru Mac Tech Online I found info about Email.CGI (www,infomotions.com) and downloaded the script alongwith the other tools (mondomail etc) and installed them on the Server. However whene we tried to execute the script thru the browser we get this message : 504 Gateway Timeout The server, while acting as a gateway to the CGI: /cgi_bin/email.cgi, did not receive a timely response. It is unlikely that the requested object is a CGI. I contacted the author of the script and it appears to be a problem with ASIP. Any ideas for an alternate solution and how to set it up on the ASIP Server? I have found each of you maillists exetremely helpful over the years. Thanks Reaz.
