Uhm yes, changing Word 2001 prefs to Word 5.1 menus turns up a "Sort" option. Which I tried, and got them sorted. Unfortunately Word html is even worse than I thought, tons of div and span and stuff I have no need for in my newly cleaned up bookmarks... sigh!
