If you might be more specific about your criticism of the navigation menu at www.asanger.de/newfirstpage.html, maybe I could learn something from that, too. The site isn't finished, yet.

It's hard to see where to start. Your javascript is a mess, your CSS is a mess.
For what it's worth you'd be better off ditching the menu altogether and
getting a new one, it might take a while but I doubt anyone will help you
debug this kind of cr*p.
Please note that there is a validation service for CSS: <http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.asanger.de%2Fnfp-arbeit.html> You'll have to debug the javascript yourself, but like I said: better to start anew.
