I have a customer that would like to purchase a software package that will
track where visitors come from, which pages they visit, which pages they
leave from, and all that good stuff. Does anyone use software that they
like or have a place to point me towards?

Thanks,
Tim Martin

Isn't all that stuff usually built into the control panel of most websites nowadays? I set up my customers' hosting packages with CPanel, and they have Webalizer, Analog stats, Latest Visitors, and all kinds of other programs preinstalled; I used to use Plesk, and Webalizer was there too along with some others.

Also you can download the raw logs and analyze them, there are some programs for doing that, I think I saw some on Sourceforge. Heck, you can even read the logs as they are and figure a lot of this stuff out, but give me Webalizer for an overview any time.

Anyway I believe it's quite likely you can get this finctionality for free, or that it's already there somewhere in the hosting package; if not, you might want to consider switching to hosting that does have it.
