I have tried your patch and I like it.
I can now finally read full license etc.
But I also found some problems:
1. font previews contain almost only rectangles:

Sometimes even font names are displayed as rectangles.
2. Some underscores are not exactly below their letters:

As this is major upgrade for our code, I'd like to see it in
aquavcl01 as soon as possible. As you do not yet have CVS access,
I'll commit it tomorrow for you.
