James,

I understand and respect your desire.

I expected that. However, you can sell them that you will be in bed before
Midnight!
Your argument will not help either unfortunately as 13:00 UTC is prime family time at
the weekend. ;)

Tino

I was looking for a better time for both the European and US devs. Right now,
the meeting
takes place at 14:00 PDT and that removes folks like mikesic and myself.

Thanks for the information. I will have problems to sell the Saturday date to my family though. So don't expect me to participate in the meeting very often in the future. But I will try to read the logs. And I'm almost always on IRC during the week.

Tino

What's the reason for this change? And should this continue to be the
time for the Mac porting meeting then? Sorry I haven't read all the logs
of the last meeting(s).

There was some extra mails in this list and little more prior to sending the mail in IRC. The hope is to have some extra participation from America (who are generally at work during the previous meeting time and want to participate, but cannot due to workplace rules), from Japan (who are generally sleeping at the previous meeting time), and for those of us in Europe (who would rather be with family or be sleeping, many go to bed half way through the meeting).

Last year we did have some of the meetings on the Saturday to accommodate those who could not attend on the Friday evening, we were going to do this more often. So this is basically the revival of this for the time being to see how it goes. It is always possible to move back to the previous meeting time in the future. Or to run the on alternating weeks as per the original plan.
