We had a similiar Issue on german users Mailinglist and the solution was that the user did update from 10.3.x to 10.4.x and from there to 10.4.9 but during all of those updates X11 wasn't updated as well. Back when 10.4.x was new this was a well known and often asked but the older 10.4.x became the lesser I and others remembered this. The solution for this is pretty easy. Delete X11 out of /Applications/Utilities and the receipt "X11User.pkg" out of /Library/Receipts. Afterwards install the X11 from your Tiger Installation DVD according to the instructions Apple provides here <http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301229-en>. Afterwards you should be able to also install the X11Update2006.pkg. Once all this is done OOo, according to the german user who had the similiar problem, runs. HTH.
