Hello Jeanine Welcome to the Mac users of openOffice.org. Take a look at the instructions at these pages: http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/download/x11.html For the moment, you need to install this X11 windowing tool. There is a different version for Panther (OS X 10.3.x) and for Tiger (OS X 10.4.x). I suppose you have Tiger on your MacBook Pro. And I also suppose it's an Intel Mac, not a PPC one. There are different versions of OpenOffice.org for Intel and for PPC. Look out that you find and install the right version. Pretty soon, a native version of OOo for Mac wil be available. The test version will be released one of these days. Then you won't need X11 anymore... Just keep an eye on the Mac porting pages. If you have any more problems, just post there. Good luck, -- Guy using dutch OOo 2.2 RC 4 on a iMac Intel DualCore Tiger and dutch OOo 2.2 RC 4 on a G4 PPC Powerbook Tiger -- please reply only to [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- Dodoes can't afford to have headaches --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
