I don't want to report a bug issue unless there really is one. I found that animated GIFS in Write run at different speeds between Mac OOO 2.2.1, 2.3.0 x11, and 2.3.0 aqua, from galloping along in 2.2.1 to poking along in 2.3.0 aqua. OOo 2.3.0 x11 most appropriates the animated GIF's speed as rendered in Quicktime movie player (still a tiny bit faster though). Otherwise so far so good in latest aqua guinea pig.
