As Shaun already wrote, there is noe JRE for Mac OS X. Apple
provides the Java packages for Mac OS X and they are different from
the ones Sun provides for Linux, Windows, Solaris and did I miss
one OS?

The average Mac users has Java installed by default and gets
updates for Java via the OS X build in Update. We *do not* need to
provide a JRE for Mac nor do we need to provide a "with jre"
version of OOo for Mac OS X.
