(To have to beg like this! Damn shame that Mac is a poor third-cousin to 
Windows on too many corporate tables!)

My reply here is strictly directed to OOo's (cough) publicity/marketing 
department, not to Eric Bachard although he brought this to our attention:
 
I welcome this announcement -- but why preach to the choir (only?) just on OOo 
pages? Shouldn't we be seeing these announcements also slapped on MacInTouch 
and MacWorld and MacAddict web pages -- even as posts on Apple support sites?  
Ditto college and university web sites all over! Doing this shouldn't cost a 
dime, not like splashy ads. Get the word out! Probably all could be done in one 
day, and if I wasn't on dial-up I'd do it myself! A good carrot to grab Machead 
help/attention is to flaunt that working on a top OOo (Sun) project looks GREAT 
on your resume, and post their names on your developers site -- even send 'em a 
little OOo team pin or such to cluck over! Try it! If you want customers, you 
gotta provide a little water to lead the horse to!

OOo engineers and developers do one hell of a bang-up job; Publicity shouldn't 
let them down!
