I am getting the bouncer whether in Firefox 3 or Safari (latest) on
OS X 10.4.11/PPC.

The first page at download.openoffice.org has a green button that says,
  Download OpenOffice.org
Click to start downloading OpenOffice.org 3.0.0 for Mac OSX PPC (US
English)

But I end up at the download chooser at
http://openoffice.bouncer.osuosl.org/download.php. When I click the
link where it says "Please visit the download overview" the form at
http://download.openoffice.org/other.html has, on the English (US)
line, version 2.4.0 under Mac OS X PPC. ..

So which is it, is the green button correct (says there *is* a
localization of 3.0 for PPC/US English) or is the "download overview"
(grid of platforms and localizations at
download.openoffice.org/other.html) right (i.e., the latest release
version for PPC/US English is still 2.4.0)

To help you to use an EN-version of OpenOffice.org for MacOSX/PPC you
can download this version:
http://ooopackages.good-day.net/pub/OpenOffice.org/MacOSX/3.0.0rc4/OOo_3.0.0rc4_MacOSXPowerPC_install.dmg

The problem is that the community have not enough people using MACOSX on
PPC for testing _and_ reporting their results.

I

I understand ... and I've posted here a couple of times to ask whether a new QA lead for mac porting has stepped forward, whether and how I can help out etc. I was instructed on this list to log into the localization testing site but my priv's give me only 3 menu choices after logging in:

1. Test Report
2. Test Result Update
3. Reset Password

If I click on #1, test report, then choose OpenOffice.org, then click on "3.0RC" there is no US English in the list.

If I click on #2, test result update, it only says: "There is no test result for you to update."

So how does one help with QA for Mac PPC, then? I tried several times to offer help on this list, but apparently there is no one in charge of Mac QA on this list anymore.

I'm just a savvy computer user, not trained in being a QA lead of any kind, not a programmer (just a little scripting here & there), mostly a project manager and applications-design consultant.

Is there some way I can actually help?

How would I "report my results" without any test cases or instructions on what to do?

Thanks!
