This may seem a detail, but, whilst the cmd-H keystroke hides the OpenOffice application just fine in all circumstances, selecting 'Hide Openoffice.org' from the application menu, which is nominally the same, does not work reliably. The application window is prone to disappear for a moment and immediately re-appear (in the background).
