REAL SOFTWARE ADDS PRIORITY PHONE SUPPORT OPTIONS

Technical support options enhanced by addition of paid priority phone
support to supplement free web-based method.

November 5, 2002. Austin, TX - REAL Software today announced availability of
paid priority technical support. The new support offerings give developers
the security and flexibility they require and provide all customers with
access to the appropriate level of assistance. The free web-based system
continues unchanged and those developers who need ready access to first-line
support for their mission-critical projects now have several options to
choose from.

"Our customers can now choose the level of support that matches their
needs," said Geoff Perlman, President and CEO of REAL Software. "We will
continue to provide high quality web-based support while also meeting the
needs of customers who require more immediate attention."

"Priority phone support is something we asked REAL Software to provide,"
said David Merryweather, CIO of CEI Learning. "Access to Premiere Level
technical support assures us that REALbasic is the right development
platform for our most critical projects."

There are now five options to choose from in addition to the free web-based
support method. All of the new plans offer phone support. Customers may
select Single Incident support or choose one of the three subscription
plans. Each subscription plan offers an escalating number of incidents and
response priority and support contacts at the developers' organization.
Additional support for REALbasic plug-in developers is also available.
Support plans range in price from $49.95 for a Single Incident to $2,499.95
for the Premier plan with unlimited incidents, one day response time, and
access to Directed Engineering Services. Details of each plan are available
on the website: <http://www.realbasic.com/support/plans.html>.
