Hi Amit,
your extended API idea is really intriguing. As I am using the excellent Objective-C sdk, I have already foregone cross-platform compatibility, and hence any opportunity to make such a file system more mac-like, the better. The support in the sdk for providing icons and resources for files is very useful, and if creation (and backup) dates could be added through a lower level extension to the mac-fuse API, then I am sure many people would be appreciative, bith users and developers.
