I think it really depends of the needs. In my case, I want to reproduce what I can do in KDE, I mean to open and edit files and dirs using sftp:// paths. I open 5 or 10 web files in editor tabs, then edit, save and test in my browser. That's a really light usage. So I don't mind if finder save the layout, icons and so on, if I can browse efficiently. Without noappledouble, it takes between 3 and 10 seconds to display a directory, no possible to use sshfs without nerve crisis!
