Here's a potential bug - although it is likely a limitation present in Finder
1. Specify a custom volume icon & mount a drive 2. unmount 3. remount using the same parameteres, but a different volume icon 4. Finder [at least on Leopard] will displays the volume icon from step #1, not #3 MacFUSE seems to be giving back the correct icon data to Finder - and relaunching Finder or changing the mountpoint "fixes" the issue, so it seems likely that it is purely a limitation/bug in how Finder decides to cache the icons. However, I wonder if there is something that can be done to hint to Finder that the icon has changed.
