I've added "com.google.macfuse.plist" as per instructions here:
http://code.google.com/p/macfuse/wiki/AUTOINSTALL

And I'm now contemplating whether I really want to upgrade...
Is there any advantage in doing so?

Jeds-Mini:/Library/Preferences root# /System/Library/Filesystems/
fusefs.fs/Support/autoinstall-macfuse-core -l
###  Update
ProductID='com.google.filesystems.fusefs'
Codebase='http://macfuse.googlecode.com/svn/releases/developer/
MacFUSE-1.9.dmg'
Version='1.9.28'
Size='3050312'
Hash='zKmzUsmraOwedN/DHm0YH71nLQo='
Predicate='SystemVersion.ProductVersion beginswith "10.4" AND
Ticket.version != "1.9.28"'

As you can see I'm using OS X... 10.4.11 (Tiger) to be precise.

If I do this should I also be using a 'bleeding edge' build of NTFS-3G
for OS X?
If so this will prove to be tricky as I don't think it has a update
mechanism like macfuse, therefore I rely on pre-packaged builds from:
http://macntfs-3g.blogspot.com/

If it all goes haywire how hard is it to revert to 1.7, will it have
to be a manual uninstall?
How do I do this?

Sorry for the gazillion questions!

Cheers,
Jed
