Dear Microsoft,

I noticed my computer came with Windows. What is this and how did I
get it? I recently bought a new computer and it came bundled with a
whole heap of software. Did Windows come with any of these? Do I need
it and is it safe to remove?

MacFUSE is a framework, I'm certain that none of the MacFUSE
developers put it on your machine, which means that something you've
installed has put it there for what ever reason. MacFUSE isn't the
sort of tool that I would presume would have an incredibly large
effectiveness, but I think Parrallels uses it for something. I'm sure
you could probably safely remove it though any application dependent
upon it might have issues if it goes looking for it - so I'd probably
not advise removing it.

A quick Google of "parrallels macfuse" reveals the following page as
the top hit: http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=32073
