Yes, but I was wondering if there was a way to 'intercept' the name. It was a long shot, but I thought it might be possible to actually create a folder with a different name and have Finder pick that up. Certainly my experimentation indicates that things go pear-shaped if you try this in a straight-forward way, but as I'm very new to this I didn't want to presume that there wasn't a mechanism to do this properly somehow.
It looks like renaming is my best bet then, so I'll just need to figure out the best sequence/timing for a rename post-creation of the folder.
