We have gone over this before. The prefpane is not tied to a MacFUSE installation. You are supposed to be able to use the prefpane to uninstall/install/reinstall/uninstall MacFUSE etc.
If you actually want to know what the installed MacFUSE version is, there's a documented and proper way to do that.
