I installed version 2.0.3,2 of MacFUSE and version 2009.2.1u1-stable of NTFS-3G on my Mac. After which, Spotlight began indexing the two partitions that I had previously set in System Preferences/Spotlight/ Privacy not to index. (This list was now blank instead of displaying the two partitions.)
I then clicked on the + symbol to add the two partitions back to the list and I received errors stating that for some unknown reason my request could not be granted. I then restarted the computer and everything was, mostly, back to normal. The two partitions were now back on the Privacy list. However, Spotlight was conducting a full indexing again on my primary partition, though the only change had been installing the aforementioned two programs. (The primary partition was never on the Privacy list.) So, everything appears to now be functioning normally, and I am able to successfully read/write to my NTFS partition.
