Hi Paul,

I’ve debugged a lot of failed MacFUSE installs, but I’m not really
sure what’s going on with yours. Unfortunately, it looks like the
error might be occurring in Apple’s installer / pkgExtractor
utilities, which aren’t always transparent or well documented. These
lines look the most suggestive to me:

May 6 20:44:33 Unknown-00-23-12-1e-aa-a5 pkgExtractor[5493]:
BomFileError 2: No such file or directory - ///Library/Filesystems/
fusefs.fs
May 6 20:44:33 Unknown-00-23-12-1e-aa-a5 installer[5466]: Install
failed: The source media you are installing from is damaged. Try
installing from a different copy of the source media or contact the
manufacturer for a replacement.

Have you tried downloading a fresh copy of MacFUSE and then running
the installer again? Maybe something got twiddled in your package
somehow. If that doesn’t work, then we might want to look into
cleaning out the old MacFUSE package receipts. Maybe the installer
doesn’t like something in them. I’m happy to try to help you do this
if the fresh download doesn’t work.
