I occasionally experience a similar crash (mouse cursor moves, but the rest of the system is unresponsive), but I’ve never connected it to MacFUSE. Indeed, I’m pretty sure this happens to me sometimes when the MacFUSE kernel extension isn’t even loaded. And on my laptop it happens on both a Leopard and Snow Leopard partition.
I’m in contact with a number of people who are using ExpanDrive and MacFUSe 2.0.3 on recent builds of 10.6, and none of them have reported any issues.
